THE IMMIGRANT LIVES ORAL HISTORY PROJECT, INC.

Where immigrants in the U.S. narrate their life stories, in their own words.

Board and Staff
Policy for The Immigrant Lives Oral History Project is set by a four-member Board of Directors, consisting of:
  • Mr. Guillermo Tineo, Chairman, an accounts manager at Miliman, a major provider of employee benefits, investment consulting, healthcare, life insurance & financial services, and property & casualty insurance, with offices worldwide.
  • Mr. Rafael Jáquez, member, a regional supervisor at the Children's Aid Society, a charity providing critical services to children and their families.
  • Mr. Jorge Romero, member, a civil servant in the City of New York.
  • Mr. Julio C. Núñez, ex officio, a writer, editor and television producer.
The Board meets four times a year: January 20th, April 24th, September 5th and December 3rd.

The organization’s work, including programmatic activities, is performed by a small professional staff, assisted by volunteers and unpaid interns—who carry out vital tasks in production, management and logistics.

In 2011, our first intern worked on a series of oral histories of indigenous peoples who consider themselves immigrants.
