 Board and Staff Policy
for The Immigrant Lives Oral History Project is set by a four-member Board of
Directors, consisting of:
- Mr. Guillermo Tineo, Chairman, an accounts manager at Miliman, a major provider of employee benefits, investment consulting, healthcare, life insurance & financial services, and property & casualty insurance, with offices worldwide.
- Mr. Rafael Jáquez, member, a regional supervisor at the Children's Aid Society, a charity providing critical services to children and their families.
- Mr. Jorge Romero, member, a civil servant in the City of New York.
- Mr. Julio C. Núñez, ex
officio, a writer, editor and television producer.
The Board meets four times a year: January
20th, April 24th, September 5th and December 3rd.
The
organization’s work, including programmatic activities, is performed by a small
professional staff, assisted by volunteers and unpaid interns—who carry out
vital tasks in production, management and logistics.
In 2011, our first intern worked on a series of oral histories of indigenous peoples who consider themselves immigrants.
